THE STORY OF THE FOUNDER
Having worked alongside dermatologists for a number of years, Anne Semonin developed her expertise in treating and healing the skin before becoming a facialist to iconic stars such as Princess Grace Kelly and Catherine Deneuve.
Based on the belief that every skin is unique and that it continues to change daily, Anne Semonin moved away from traditional beauty regimes based on skin type to a made-to-measure and personally prescribed beauty concept which she applied to beauty treatments and home skincare regimes for her clients at L’Atelier de Beauté in rue des Petit Champs, Paris, still in operation today 30 years later.
Madame Semonin then implemented this game-changing approach in the first “beauty farm”, the predecessor of modern-day high-end hotel spas, at Megeve in the French Alps in 1985.

THE COMPANY TODAY
Founded in 1985, Anne Semonin is, as far as we're aware, the only privately-owned beauty company – still independent to this day – offering a complete range of skincare for the face and body for use in the spa and at home.
Today there are over 200 Anne Semonin Spas and retail locations across the world, with a full range of intelligent skincare, bringing amazing and clinically proven efficiency to the skin.
Aline Marcadet has owned Anne Semonin since 2003. Formerly a fine art buyer and highly sought-after interior designer with an international clientele, Aline’s love of Anne Semonin products and shared passion for our founder’s skincare philosophy convinced her to invest in the company in 2001. She now works closely with the Product & Treatment Development team ensuring Anne Semonin remains at the forefront of skincare innovation and faithful to the remarkable heritage of the brand
